Thermal Aluminum Windows, Windows for Steel Buildings

These are "thermalized" windows designed for use in commercial construction and for the better home market. Basic models include slider, single hung and picture windows. Cross sections have more depth than competitive models. Units are mulled together with a vinyl strip. Sash features a cam lock.

This window features a nailing fin at the head, sill, and jambs, as an integral part of the frame. Sash meeting rail and fixed meeting rails feature a positive weather stripped interlock.

SERIES: Aluminum windows are model 3025. Single-Hung windows conform to AAMA specifications as follows: SH-B1-HP 60, SH-A2-HP 60, and SH-A2-HP 60 Forced Resistance Tested. Picture Slider windows meet AAMA specifications for HS-B2-HP 50 and HS-A2-HP 50.

GLAZING: All windows are glazed with 3/4" insulated glass using a wraparound, soft vinyl gasket. Fixed sash are glazed insert, rather than glazing glass into main frame.

HARDWARE: Sash is fitted with a die-cast cam type lock at the center of the meeting rail. Slider windows are equipped with ball bearing rollers. All screws and fasteners are stainless steel or cadmium-plated or zinc-plated per AST specification A-164-55 or A-165-55.

SCREENS: Screens are provided with roll-formed frames on all slider units, and are spring loaded for retention.

PACKAGING: All units are individually cartoned.

OPTIONAL "J" TRIM: Pre-notched aluminum extrusions accept metal profiles up to 1 1/8".

WEATHER STRIPPING: Fixed sash weather stripped with fin seal weather strip. Sliding sash is double weather stripped with a combination of soft vinyl fin weather strip and poly pile. Vinyl weather strip is equal to commercial standard CS230-60.

MATERIAL: Main frames and sash members are constructed of 6063-T5 extruded aluminum alloy having a minimum wall thickness of .050 (within commercial tolerances).

INSTALLATION: Assembly and installation is to be done by others in accordance with good construction practices and with furnished instructions.

FINISH: Exposed aluminum surfaces are covered with a polyester finish.

"STEP SAVER" Window
The "Step Saver" Window combines all of the features of our commercial window, plus a special pre-installed J channel that allows the window to be installed after the metal is up.

Simply determine placement and cut opening, slide top edge of window in place, and drop bottom of window in place and attach.
